A Wedge is a correctional figure which appears on the currency market in a short time period when there is a short-lived weakening of the trend’s movements. A wedge is used by traders as a signal of a price inversion since it is used to indicate a continuation of the initial tendency. On short timeframes, a wedge doesn’t always give infallible signals, so traders pay real attention to these signals only if the figure is formed over the course of an extended period of time.
